This week the Juniors ran some errands, on their adventure they found objects beginning with letter H for H week! We have a hammer, hair band, holly, head, hat and we even saw a horse!!

Recyclable weather making today ♻️ all you need is:
-A swimming pool noodle
-Fabric
And you are ready to go. Just cut /rip the fabrics and tie around noodle. Do this the whole way around and hey presto, you have your own homemade recycle wreath.

Recycling Week at Fusion ♻️♻️
We sorted our different objects into the recycling bins and created our own game using a plastic bottle and a lid- It’s a lot harder than it looks!!

Recycling Week at Fusion- we ‘attempted’ to make our own paper using scrap paper! It was super simple, have a go and let us know how it goes!!
Step1- rip the paper to stamp size pieces
Step 2- soak the paper in a bowl
Step 3- whisk the paper until ir goes soggy and clumps together
Step 4- squash all the excess water out using a teatowel
Step 5- leave it in a warm place on baking paper to dry (it takes a few days!)

Today at Fusion we had a special talk from one of our parents who works in the Royal Navy! We learnt a lot about her job and saw some interesting pictures! We even spotted Prince William in a picture! We now have lots of children wanting to be in the Navy 🚢🛳⛴⚓️

Hygiene week. Today we did a science experiment where we tested different solids with soap to see which ones reacted. We tested pepper, salt, rosemary and grass.
We found that the solids quickly went to the side of the bowl when the soap was added. This is because the soap breaks down the surface tension of water and the surface tension changes!

The past few weeks we have been talking with the children about staying safe online and e safety! We spoke about privacy settings and social media. How do you teach your child/ren to stay safe online? 💻📱🖥
This week at Fusion we made Humous with 3 simple ingredients! It was very easy and very tasty 🍋🍴
2 lovely Year 5 children have organised a Fusion ‘Eco Club’ ♻️
This will be held on a Wednesday 3.30pm-4pm and will involve learning about our world and lots of fun activities. They trialed it today and it was a huge success! Well done 👏🏼👏🏼
Eco Club is held on a Wednesday 3.15-4.15. This is a fantastic club run by 2 Year 5 girls. This week in eco club the children learnt about ways to save our planet and talked about little changes we can do in our every day lives. Some fantastic posters are being created! 🌱🌎🌍

Today the Year 2’s had a trip to the Juniors to learn what they do at the end of the day at Fusion and the differences from Year 2 to Year 3. They were all very sensible! We will be doing this again this week to help with the transition.
